Work Integrated Learning

Our guest speakers from Federation University spoke about a number of Work Integrated Learning models available to employers in the region.

These include:

Placement in industry as a key aspect of the program delivery. Paid internships which are competitively sourced placements with organisations who provide payment to students via scholarships.

Unpaid internships are project based work in organisations for up to 2 days per week for a 12 week semester. Professional year/Cooperative Education is up to 12 month paid employment in approved roles during study.

Projects offer a variety of options often for not for profit or community groups that can involve groups of students.

Guest Lecturers are Industry experts delivering real world experience in class and Case studies/volunteering where Industry provides real world issues to students in class as a project.
