The Chamber of Commerce has invited Simon McCuskey for a planning workshop to help set the future strategy for the Chamber and local businesses.

Collective marketing, branding and promotional activities have been on the agenda. A survey was sent out before the Planning Day which many Chamber members filled in. Twelve enthusiastic participants on the day worked through internal strength and weaknesses, as well as external opportunities and threats, and discussed past initiatives and new ideas for the future.

The goal was to audit and finalise a suite of marketing and promotional activities for Ballan and District in 2021 and beyond, with budgets and resources identified for each initiative. The outcome was presented at the February Chamber meeting (see the Powerpoint presentation available in the Member area) after which some members volunteered to form a working group to work further on the strategy and a short, medium and long-term plan.
